Windsurfing: Shoreham Wind Direction: SSE Wind Stength: F5-7 Surf / Sea State: Wasit to chest high Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Stormy Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Safely back from Shoreham, sailed into darkness as it was just too much fun
to walk away from tonight. I started on the 5.5m at 4pm, max power for an
hour. Then the rain and ferocious wind came and I attempted to hang on
despite being bodily torn from the water. Gave up eventually and dropped it
down to the 4.5m, much better, for half an hour, but it did start to ease
so i pumped on. The waves were surprisingly entertaining. Good size, not
huge, but fairly peaky out there, steepening up for back side hacks and
aeriels. Not a lot of space between the waves, kept you on your toes or on
the beach. Finally, could plane no more and last man out, so came in and
rigged big again, got a bonus 25 minutes until 6:40pm.
